Bio

Before devoting her practice to representing employee benefit plans and labor unions, Nadine built her career working in the financial sector. Upon graduating from law school, Nadine started her legal career in BigLaw at a major New York City law firm, where she represented lenders and borrowers in lending transactions and advised clients on federal and state financial regulatory issues. Seeking to diversify her experience, she transitioned to in-house practice, working at a leading private equity firm where she advised business teams on federal compliance-related issues. Her rigorous training has given her a broad foundation in advocacy and a practical understanding of the many areas of law that impact clients financially and reputationally. She brings that experience to her representation of employee benefit plans and unions, with a particular focus on identifying legal and strategic risks and protecting her clients’ interests.

Growing up in Detroit, Nadine recognized organized labor’s power to protect workers and strengthen communities; the importance of unions was woven into her understanding of community and social equality from an early age. Nadine continued to explore these questions throughout her undergraduate and graduate studies, where she focused on the political and social relationship between the state, private institutions, and the working class.

Following her first year of law school, she interned at the NLRB in Detroit, where she was first exposed to labor and union advocacy and saw firsthand one of the many mechanisms through which workers can enforce their rights. Additionally, she spent her last semester as an extern at the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights in Geneva, where she assisted the Petitions Section in reviewing, drafting, and advancing complaints of human rights violations before the Human Rights Committee.

Nadine spends much of her spare time immersed in the arts, whether at the pottery wheel creating her latest addition to her wonky mug collection, frequenting art festivals, reading, or simply walking around the enchanting neighborhoods of Chicago.
